For those of you who live and work around Bury, Lancashire, watch out for something special. At the end of May 2019 we will be opening our pop up coffee shop for the summer weeks, at Newton’s Co-working space on The Rock! 28 May is our ‘soft launch’, with Saturday 1 June being our official open day, where you will be able to drink our freshly roasted coffee and enjoy a slice of cake.

Bury has a long association with good food; the award-winning market is well known for its fresh produce, cakes and not forgetting the handmade Bury black pudding. As a well as being a foodie’s paradise (and with a lovely new town centre) Bury has lots of our customers nearby, so we didn’t think twice when the idea came about. Importantly though, we have chosen to work with Newton’s due to our shared ethos and business values. Providing their filter coffee prior to the decision to collaborate, the two companies hit it off early in 2019. It wasn’t long before we both decided that a joint effort would be fantastic for everyone – Newton’s because they love to help/incubate start-ups such as ourselves, and clearly for us it was a chance to put in place our goal for year three: A speciality coffee shop, with a real focus on quality. A place where you can come and be yourself, chat, relax and ….sip the good stuff.

Speciality coffee & a summer menu!

We are excited about the prospect of being able to provide a taste of Salford Roasters finest range of single origin beans, just up the road, in the town centre of bustling Bury. Our full coffee menu has been designed with you lovely folks in mind – a ‘normal’ speciality offering of course, but with a summer menu of innovative iced coffees, frappes and coldbrew also available. We hope to see you at our temporary home over the coming weeks and months.

Coffee menu

  • Espresso
  • Cortado
  • Flat white
  • Long black
  • Cappuccino

Also, we’ll even have a selection of cakes to accompany your coffee: from coffee/walnut, to lemon drizzle and chocolate brownies. Later on, in June, we hope to bring you some fab baked goods from the excellent Trove Foods of Manchester. You’ll also be able to take away a pouch of coffee freshly ground for home use, and you can check out the different types of coffee which we offer on our online shop.

Where exactly is our pop up coffee shop?

We are going to be setting shop up at Newtons of Bury Co-working Space which is located on The Rock in Bury town centre. Newtons of Bury is a bespoke, co-working space for freelancers, students, start ups, and anyone who needs a workspace. They always put the focus on their patrons and offering free wifi, kitchen facilities, first-class secure working spaces and meeting rooms places them above the competition.

Our Salford Roasters coffee shop will be open Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 2pm, and if the summer hasn’t deserted us, we’ll have tables outside as well.

You can find us from Tuesday 28th May 2019 at Newtons of Bury, 151 The Rock, Bury. Our opening hours are: Tuesday – Saturday, 8am – 2pm.
